Even dead celebrities can make money in this market!

With another poor October out of the way, a month notorious for occasionally crashing wealth, perhaps November will bring better news. This October, the Dow was down almost 14% and the S&P marked saw its eighth worst month since 1930. But with the Fed’s new and improved $2 trillion balance sheet, hopefully market sentiment will improve and unfreeze the icy capital river, but economic indicators will probably bring more bad news…at least through early to mid 2009.

However, you don’t have to be Warren Buffet to make money in this market. Here is Forbes’ new list of income earners: dead celebrities, where the top 13 earned a joint $194 million since last year. Here they are:

1. Elvis Presley; $52 million; Singer, Actor; Died: Aug. 16, 1977
2. Charles M. Schulz; $33 million; Cartoonist; Died: Feb. 12, 2000
3. Heath Ledger; $20 million; Actor; Died: Jan. 22, 2008
