Rebecca's taking an indefinite break from blogging
Tuesday, November 23, 2010
I started a new job in August 2010. It's a challenging, exciting, and thoroughly satisfying position, however, I am left with little to no time for my family. I have made the decision to cease commentary on News N Economics at this time.
I see this as an indefinite pause. Perhaps, though, at one point I may be able to dedicate time to my career and blogging simultaneously once again.
Thank you all for reading and providing feedback. It is the dedicated readership that keeps a blogger going.
Best regards, Rebecca

Hi Rebecca - very understandable and hope to see you back someday. Meanwhile I also hope that the site will not be taken down, as many items on the blog list still make a daily visit to your site imperative!
you will be missed. unlike most blogs (even ones i try to follow), your posts are always well thought out and thought provoking. with each post, i knew i was going to learn something new about the world. really sad to see you go; your new employer is very lucky to have you.
Rebecca-
I've have rarely if ever posted comments on any blog. However, I feel compelled to respond to this post. I have gained much from your perspective and wish you the best in your new position and in the difficult task of balancing career and family. I hope to read more of your analysis in the future. Until then, I wish you the best of luck.
Robert
Rebecca,
Your blog will be missed! Thanks for your insightful commentary and analysis, and best of luck.
Well, thank you all! I appreciate the feedback! I feel a little bit like a retiree who is having a tough time retiring. The break is needed - we'll see how long it lasts.
Best regards, Rebecca
Just read about your indefinite break --your blog was a respected and respectful island of sanity in an ocean of noise, especially in this climate of uncertainty. Best of luck and I look forward to your return some day should you so wish.
Rebecca,
Hope you will give it another go next year. We miss you at Angry Bear.
Merry Christimas,
Bill (MG)
